Honesty.

Wow. Third post in a day.

I wanted to be clear on a couple of points, make sure that anyone who ever reads this understands this about me.
- I believe I'm a religious person. I'm sure of my faith,I fast, and I pray. Since this is a totally honest blog, I want you to know that I do try and pray every 5 prayers of the day. Sometimes I forget, and sometimes it doesn't happen. I also began actually being able to say that I pray only about a year ago- and I've had the hijab on for about 6 years now. I'm turning 21 in a week. Yes, I know prayer is supposed to come before hijab, but it didn't work that way with me.
- I believe in everybody doing as much as they can. A prayer a day to someone who hasn't prayed in a year is an achievement.
- In no way do I believe that I know more about religion than anyone reading this. I probably don't.
- I don't wear Jilbab or Abaya.
- I do, however, dress modestly. That's what this blog is about. Trying to find a way to dress modestly, and still look good. That's what I know about, and that's what I'm blogging about.

I really, really hope you enjoy and share my blog with everyone you know!
Thank you for reading this.

Salam :)

Different kinds of hijab

So, there are a billion types of hijabs. Ameera, Isharb, 7jab turki, etc. Many, many types of fabric, and just about a billion ways to put it on.
Some people do this thing I think looks like a bun. Not necessarily in a bad way, but that's how it looks like.
Anyways, I usually stick with a beige or white Ameera. An Ameera is the 2 piece hijab, the easiest and fastest one to put on.
It's nice and light, and goes with everything. The only downside is that sometimes it's not as long as I'd like it to be, to be able to stuff it into a shirt or whatever.
If I'm wearing something fancy, I'll wear one of the silky wrap ones I have, also white or beige.

During the summer, I always see girls wearing really bright plain hijabs, the wrap ones. Alot of girls pull it off, especially with the really intense colors like turquoise or purple.

I've also never wanted to wear a print hijab. I don't get them, they totally limit what you can wear with the hijab. It usually doesn't look good when wearing 2 different prints, and especially not when you wear 2 mtching prints, and 1 of them is on your hijab. Oopahhh.
I know that mixing prints is in now, and I love it, but I personally wouldn't try out that rend with my head.

There's this big trend now in Jordan, where girls put 1-3 big flower clips under their hijabs, like this one:-

This is supposed to add volume under your hijab and make you seem like you have Rapunzel-like hair, you end up with this big hump under your hijab. A lot of girls like this look. I don't like it, and I do not encourage it. It just doesn't look good.
Some girls I've asked have told me that it has nothing to do with volume or anything like that, they think it makes them seem slimmer. The bigger the hair, the smaller the waist, ah?

Haven't been on in a while

Hello!
So I haven't posted anything in about a year. This post is actually a result of my mother's encouragement, I'm going to start blogging again.
She's awesome.
At this point, I really have no idea if anyone reads this/ has read this.
I hope you're having a good day.
:)
